    Afterschool Alliance
    Site of a coalition of public private, and nonprofit organizations dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of afterschool programs and advocating for quality, affordable programs for all children. Provides Research, advocacy, leading practices and policy updates.

    Catalyst
    The website of the Catalyst magazine that provides information on both policy and practice for school reform, drawing on research and highlighting models of success both locally and nationally. Its goal is to give decision makers at the school, city and state levels information they need to help transform the city's public schools.

    Cleveland Municipal School District
    Provides information for students, parents, teachers, administration, the school board, and others on Cleveland schools and programs. Provides a directory of departments and services.

    Community Solutions Social Indicators Reports: Education, Employment and Income
    The Social Indicators Reports provide descriptive information about people, their characteristics and circumstances. Researchers explain the study is relevant to an issue which can be affected by social policy, supplying information that is measurable, has the same meaning over time, utilizes consistent methods of data collection and has readily agreeable meaning. The Social Indicators Reports provide information on the geographic level of social planning areas (neighborhoods) in the city of Cleveland and all the suburban communities in Cuyahoga County.

    Council of the Great City Schools
    An organization of the nation's largest urban public school systems, advocating K-12 education in inner-city schools, and governed by superintendents and board of education members from 58 cities across the country. Provides public policy updates, research and best practices information.

    National Center for Research in Vocational Education
    Provides access to research, statistics and leading practices in the area of vocation education.

    National Education Association
    America's oldest and largest organization committed to advancing the cause of public education. The NEA's site contains research, statistics, best practices, issues news and other information related to public education. http://www.nea.org/

    Ohio Community Computing Center Network
    The Ohio Community Computing Center Network (OCCCN) is the oversight and evaluation organization for the 14 community computing centers created and funded by the Ameritech Advantage Ohio alternative regulation case settlement. Community technology centers provide basic computer training and support to people with low incomes and limited opportunities to learn about or use computer technology. This contains information on the digital divide.

    Annie E Casey Foundation Jobs Initiative: Linking Low Income Neighborhoods to Family Supporting Jobs
    Initiative program provides funding and support for community-based initiatives in six cities in order to help young, low-income workers find meaningful jobs and to identify national employment and training models. Extensive best practices information. Includes their Workforce Policy Newsletter.

    Center for Regional Economic Issues (REI)
    REI seeks to improve the economic welfare of the nation's regions through a unique program of policy research, education, and decision support. Website contains PDF of their major reports, with much research and publications focused on the northeastern Ohio region.

    Cleveland Growth Association
    The Growth Association works to improve the competitive position of Northeast Ohio and its businesses focusing on the eight counties of Northeast Ohio - Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit. Of particular interest is the Association's Jobs and Workforce Initiative.

    PEPNET
    The Promising and Effective Practices Network (PEPNet) is a system and an information base for identifying and promoting what works in youth employment and development. It is a service of the National Youth Employment Coalition.

    Poverty Center
    The Center on Urban Poverty and Social Change at Case Western Reserve University seeks to address the problems of persistent and concentrated urban poverty. The Center is dedicated to understanding how social and economic changes affect low-income communities, and how living in these communities affects the well-being of their residents. The site provides research publication, often specific to the Greater Cleveland area.
