The 2007 Campaign Closes
The 2007 United Way of Greater Cleveland campaign ended when Campaign Co-Chairs Phil Rice, President & CEO, National City Bank, and Paul Clark, President, Northern Ohio Banking, National City Bank, announced final results of $43 million at the March 7 Annual Meeting. Nearly 1,200 community leaders attended this important event that included a Report to the Community on United Way of Greater Cleveland and the Community Vision Council.

IBM Donates Computers through United Way's Gifts in Kind Program
IBM has a soft spot for pre-K children and shows it by donating thousands of kid-friendly
computers worldwide to schools and community centers through its
KidSmart Early Learning Program. Local IBM representatives came to United Way of Greater
Cleveland to present several of these units to area organizations.

Visit HousingCleveland.org, a web site providing free listing services and access to a database of more than 1000 available housing units in Cuyahoga County. It is a collaborative effort of United Way's 211/First Call For Help and more than ten other community groups. You'll find information about properties that meet your individual needs and budget, housing support programs, properties in a specific neighborhood, etc.

2-1-1 is a free, easy to remember phone number that makes a critical connection between
individuals and families in need and the appropriate health and human service agency.
United Way of Greater Cleveland's 211/First Call For Help, with database access to more than
1,200 agencies, serves as the designated 2-1-1 call center for Cuyahoga County.
Police, fire and emergency services will continue to be available through 9-1-1.

North Coast SeniorsConnect is Online!
North Coast SeniorsConnect is a Web site designed exclusively for older adults and those that care for and about them in Cuyahoga County. Identified as a priority by the Senior Success Vision Council, and developed by Cleveland Public Library, this Web site is just the beginning of a grant-funded project designed to increase information access to seniors and to promote computer use by and learning opportunities for seniors in Greater Cleveland.
In addition to creating the Web site, the North Coast SeniorsConnect staff will develop presentations and small group lessons so that they can interact with the community and increase public awareness for the site. The hope is to foster an online community for seniors to find information, interact and become connected.
