Give Blood January is National Blood Donor Month
The holiday season may be over, but there's still one important gift left to give -- one that can save many lives -- a pint of blood. Blood donations tend to taper off during and immediately following the holidays, forcing hospitals to scramble for supplies. But the need for blood never takes a holiday. That's why January has been designated National Blood Donor Month, with blood banks and health officials urging every able-bodied person to give just a little bit more. Schedule your donation appointment today. To learn more about blood donation and eligibility guidelines, click here.
Check Community-Wide Needs for the Greatest Impact on Our Community
By designating Community-Wide Needs with your pledge, you authorize our trained volunteers to decide how your donations, and those of countless others, can target the greatest needs of our community. It might be to deliver meals to homebound seniors, train daycare providers to provide the best possible educational preparation for children or any of the nearly 180 programs provided by our community partners, or initiatives of the Community Vision Council. Here is how to pledge confidentially online.
