Grand Prix Helmet Your Chance to Own an Exclusive Grand Prix Helmet
Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes and the 2006 Grand Prix of Cleveland presented by U.S. Bank are giving fans a chance to bid on fourteen one-of-a-kind custom-painted racing helmets autographed by top Champ Car drivers. This month's helmet was designed and painted by Bob Barnett and Joe Wiggins of Highland Auto Body in Macedonia. Barnett said, "Most of the flag artwork out there is straight and flat. I think the flag looks nicer when it's waving in the wind." Barnett carried out this concept with the helmet by stretching the stars and stripes to simulate a windswept appearance. The paint on the helmet contains crushed glass and mirrors, which gives the finish an eye-catching sparkle. Each helmet was autographed by the top three finishers at the 2006 Grand Prix of Cleveland -- A.J. Allmendinger, Bruno Junqueira and Oriol Servia -- as well as racing legend Bobby Rahal, winner of the inaugural Grand Prix of Cleveland in 1982. View and bid on this month's helmet.
