David W. Whitehead An Interview with David W. Whitehead,
United Way's new Chairman of Strategic Planning

There are some words that are associated with certain people. For David W. Whitehead, community is that word. The concept of a community working together for the betterment of all is at the heart of what United Way of Greater Cleveland is all about. It is therefore natural that Mr. Whitehead should be involved intimately with the work that United Way does. Mr. Whitehead shows his passion for United Way's mission through a relationship with the organization that goes back over 30 years. "When I was growing up, I knew about United Way. I come from modest beginnings and I know how valuable United Way's support can be," Mr. Whitehead says. Read the interview.

Check Community-Wide Needs for the greatest impact on our community
By designating Community-Wide Needs with your pledge, you authorize our trained volunteers to decide how your donations, and those of countless others, can target the greatest needs of our community. It might be to deliver meals to homebound seniors, train daycare providers to provide the best possible educational preparation for children or any of the nearly 180 programs provided by our community partners, or initiatives of the Community Vision Council. Here is how to pledge confidentially online.
