United Way aids Hurricane Katrina Victims
On behalf of all donors, United Way of Greater Cleveland will donate $50,000 to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Half of the funds will go to the American Red Cross Cleveland Chapter and the other half will go to the United Way of America Hurricane Katrina Response Fund. These contributions will aid both immediate front line relief efforts and future rebuilding of victims' lives. This donation will come from the reserve funds, and therefore will not affect funding for programs and services of our partner agencies that deal with local tragedies on a daily basis. Find out how to make an additional donation above and beyond your United Way contribution to the Hurricane Katrina Response Fund through United Way of Greater Cleveland.

Check Community-Wide Needs for the greatest impact on our community
By designating Community-Wide Needs with your pledge, you authorize our trained volunteers to decide how your donations, and those of countless others, can target the greatest needs of our community. It might be to deliver meals to homebound seniors, train daycare providers to provide the best possible educational preparation for children or any of the nearly 180 programs provided by our community partners, or initiatives of the Community Vision Council. Here is how to pledge confidentially online.
