The Fourth Annual United Way Sports Auction on WTAM offers autographed sports memorabilia and one-of-a-kind experiences donated by the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. To bid on items, log on to cleveland.com/sportsauction now through November 2, when the auction goes live on-air on WTAM. Items to bid on include a Kellen Winslow autographed jersey, Lebron James autographed basketball and Victor Martinez autographed baseball hat. You can bid now on a Larry Hughes autographed jersey or a Steve Heiden autographed football.

Celebrity Golf Tournament Whiffs and Mulligans? No Way at United Way Celeb Golf Tourney
Rainy weather didn't dampen the spirits at United Way's Ninth Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament. The tournament, presented by the Cleveland Browns and Continental Airlines and hosted by Hemlock Springs Golf Club, raised a record $101,000! Grand Prix Helmet for Auction Autographed Helmets Offer Fans a Piece of Grand Prix History
Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes and the Grand Prix of Cleveland are giving fans a chance to own a one-of-a-kind piece of history from the 2006 Grand Prix of Cleveland presented by U.S. Bank. Fourteen custom-painted racing helmets autographed by top Champ Car drivers and racing legend Bobby Rahal are being sold in a series of auctions to raise money for United Way of Greater Cleveland. The helmets will be up for bid in separate auctions through July 2007. The latest helmet up for auction was designed and painted by Mayfield Collision Center in South Euclid. It features a patriotic stars and stripes theme in red, white and blue. You can view and bid on this helmet now at ebay.com/unitedwaycleveland. Of the remaining helmets, nine will be auctioned off on eBay, two will be auction items at United Way of Greater Cleveland events, and one will be auctioned at the Greater Cleveland Sports Award Banquet. All proceeds from the helmets sold on eBay will benefit United Way.
Cleveland Cavaliers logo Score Cavs Discount Tickets Now: United Way Nights with the Cavaliers
Cavaliers discount tickets are available for three home games at The Q: November 21, when the Cavs take on the Memphis Grizzlies; January 22, against the Orlando Magic; and March 5, versus the Houston Rockets. Upper Baseline tickets are discounted from $35 to $27.50 and Upper Baseline Corner tickets are discounted from $25 to $23. The Cavs vs. Rockets game also includes an exclusive after-game party on the Cavaliers court. A portion of each ticket sold through this promotion will benefit United Way. Flapjacks were flipping and drums were beating as United Way of Greater Cleveland Campaign Co-Chairs Robert H. Rawson, Jr., Partner-In-Charge, Jones Day Cleveland office, and Robert J. King, Jr., Managing Partner, Western Reserve Partners LLC, announced the $43.6 million campaign goal at the 2006 Campaign Kick-Off and Pancake Flip on Public Square. Pension Act Gives Tax Advantage for Charitable Donations
Congress recently enacted legislation that gives powerful new tax incentives for charitable giving for senior citizens. The new legislation will allow tax-free charitable contributions up to $100,000 from a traditional IRA for people 70½ and older to be excluded from their gross income. Chris Burke "Celebrate Life!" Concert
A special evening of music featuring actor Chris Burke, who has a recurring roll on the hit CBS-TV show "Touched By An Angel," takes place on Thursday, October 26, at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Dick Russ, Managing Editor of WKYC-TV, will host this event honoring Steve McPeake, President and CEO of North Coast Community Homes and recipient of the Ascentia Hero Award.
