December is
Safe Toys and Gifts
Month
Toys are supposed to be fun
and are an important part of any child’s development,
but each year, thousands of kids are treated in hospital
emergency rooms for toy-related injuries.
Keep the children in your life safe this
holiday season by making sure that the gifts you
purchase will be safe ones.

A Working Mom Beats the Odds with
a Little Help Sometimes when you look in a person’s eyes you
catch a glimpse of the difficulties they’ve been through
in life. Tonya Williams is like that -- a guarded person
when you first meet her, but when she and her son
Frankie posed for this photo after telling her story,
you could feel the warmth in her smile. Tonya is a
survivor who can teach us all about getting life back on
track even when things go terribly wrong. More...

The Gift of
Hope This time of year means different
things to different people: holidays, family gatherings,
getting in touch with relatives and friends, religious
observances, and of course, a season of gift giving
including making a charitable gift to those less
fortunate. Please give the gift of hope this season by
donating to the United Way campaign. You can be
confident that your contribution to United Way is an
investment in our community because nearly 88 cents of
every dollar goes to help fund more than 180 health and
human service programs provided by 130 agencies serving
over 400,000 Greater Cleveland residents every
year. Donate
