    Ivan J. Winfield
Winfield has been a United Way volunteer since the late '70s, first in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and then in Cleveland since he came here as managing partner for Coopers & Lybrand Northeast Ohio practice. Now retired from the accounting firm, Winfield has a full-time position at Baldwin-Wallace College where he works with MBA students.

He was a founding member of the Community Vision Council, the public/private partnership dedicated to health and human services. Winfield continues sharing his financial and health care expertise as a member of the Health and caring for all Vision Council. The Vision Council currently is focusing on prevention and cessation of smoking, as well as the reduction of disparities in health care access.

Winfield, who calls himself "a critical supporter" of United Way, is dedicated to helping the organization maintain and increase its effectiveness, thus improving the quality of life in the community. He admits " I fell in love with Cleveland and probably am one of the few people who came here to retire."

His other community activities in addition to several corporation boards, include: life trustee of the National Conference for Community and Justice; trustee of WVIZ PBS/ 90.3WCPN ideastream, the former Greater Cleveland Roundtable and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Winfield resides with his wife in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
