October 1, 2005 (Cleveland, Ohio)
GE Consumer & Industrial, located in East Cleveland will undertake the largest United Way "Day of Caring" of the year. GE volunteers will transform Highbrook Lodge on Wednesday, October 12 from 9 am to 3 pm as they build a new maintenance shed, lay 6000 feet of guide wire, construct a six person wilderness sleepover cabin, install a new PA system and much more.
Highbrook Lodge at 12944 Aquilla Road in Chardon is part of the Cleveland Sight Center, a United Way of Greater Cleveland community partner. This is GE Consumer & Industrial's sixth Day of Caring.

Volunteers can see firsthand how their United Way contributions impact the community. They also experience the rewards of giving their time and talent to those in need. Other upcoming United Way Days of Caring will be held on October 13, 27 and November 10 all around Greater Cleveland. This is in addition to the Cleveland Browns Hometown Huddle which is the national NFL United Way Day of Caring on October 18.
