Fourth Annual United Way of Greater Cleveland Sports Auction
September 25, 2006 (Cleveland, Ohio)
The Fourth Annual United Way of Greater Cleveland Sports Auction on WTAM 1100 offers a variety of exclusive autographed sports items and experiences donated by the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers and Indians. To bid on items, log on to wtam.com now through November 2. On November 2, the auction goes live all day on-air on WTAM. Proceeds benefit United Way of Greater Cleveland.
"All the Cleveland Sports teams come together and donate items you can't buy in a store to support our community through the annual United Way Sports Auction. Among the items up for auction are a Kellen Winslow autographed authentic jersey, LeBron James autographed basketball and the opportunity to throw the first pitch at an Indians game next year. We are grateful to all the sports teams for their support," said K. Michael Benz, United Way President and CEO. "WTAM and cleveland.com are generously featuring the items on their Web sites, and on the last day, November 2, sports experiences will be offered all day to bidders on WTAM."
To enhance the fun this year, one new advance item will be offered to bidders each week up to October 19. Log on to wtam.com today to see the featured item of the week. Current items listed include a Larry Hughes autographed replica jersey and a personalized 4" x 8" paver commemorating your love for the Indians, to be displayed in the new Heritage Park at Jacobs Field opening in 2007.
