      Chinese New Year Celebration Benefits United Way

      January 12, 2007 (Cleveland, Ohio)
      A Chinese New Year Celebration event will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2007, from 6 p.m. to midnight at Li Wah Restaurant, The Asia Plaza, 2999 Payne Avenue, Cleveland, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting United Way of Greater Cleveland's 2006/2007 Campaign. The event, celebrating the Year of the Pig, offers a traditional Chinese 10-course dinner, entertainment, dancing, door prizes all evening and a cash bar.

      Entertainment features traditional Chinese dancers, dragon dancers, ballroom dancers, acrobats, jugglers, martial arts performances and even an Elvis impersonator! Dance floor opens at 9 p.m.

      The 10-course meal includes Dim Sum Platter with Barbeque Combination Platter, Stuffed Crab Claw, Creamy Walnut Shrimp, Seafood with X.O. Sauce, Seafood and Shark Fin Soup, Hong Kong Style Beef Prime Rib, Double Lobster with Ginger and Scallions, Turbot Fish with Sweet and Sour Sauce, Braised El Mein with Abalone Sauce and Lucky Fried Rice. Cash bar opens at 6 p.m.

      A premium table (inner circle) seating 10 costs $500. Premium single seating is $50 each. Secondary tables (outer circle) seating 10 are $400 each, and secondary single seating is $40 each. Reservations will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is limited to 300.
