Crowe Chizek and Company LLC, Crowe Chizek and Company LLC, a public accounting and consulting firm, was founded in South Bend, Indiana by Fred Crowe and Clete Chizek in 1942. Crowe is the leading independent member of Horwath International. Crowe, one of the nation's largest public accounting and consulting firms, assists clients in reaching their goals through services ranging from assurance and financial advisory to performance, risk and tax consulting. Crowe professionals provide public and private companies with leadership in the financial services, health care, government, private equity sponsored, inventory based and not-for-profit industry sectors, among many others.
Crowe's four core values are reflected in its business efforts as well as in its community efforts, which can be found at www.crowechizek.com. They consist of:
- Caring for our communities and seeing value in supporting the civic organizations that provide the backbone for economic progress and the charitable organizations that provide the support and safety net for our communities' citizens;
- Sharing with our communities through the financial support of and volunteer participation with community organizations that demonstrate values reflective of their clients and the firm;
- Investing in our communities by offering their resources where appropriate in support of the causes and needs of civic and charitable organizations;
- Growing, as a result of the leadership development opportunities, the satisfaction of making a difference, and from their increased sense of firm and team.
Crowe has been a long-time supporter of United Way of Greater Cleveland. In 2007, the organization surpassed its Pacesetter goal by raising more than $13,500, with a significant number of its Cleveland personnel donating. Aside from its generous employee gifts, they also donated a Day of Caring in the 2007 Campaign. A Day of Caring allows local employees to donate their time working at one of our partner agencies.
This year, Crowe has decided to participate in the Pacesetter program for the fifth year in a row. Pacesetters raise early dollars for the United Way campaign. Crowe successfully kicked off its campaign on June 20, with a company breakfast and golf outing. Guest speaker Russ Grundke from Hiram House spoke and gave a very informative presentation on the services that Hiram House provides. All in attendance at the kickoff expressed sincere interest in participating in this year's second Day of Caring at Hiram House later this fall; their first Day of Caring was held in the spring at Hope Lodge.
Crowe has a long and outstanding relationship with United Way of Greater Cleveland. Please join us in recognizing their continued support!
